What is Excess Liability insurance?
Excess Liability insurance is designed to provide you with higher limits of General and Professional Liability coverage. Your primary policy already provides a per occurrence and an aggregate limit. Excess Liability insurance can increase these underlying limits by $1-5 Million (in million dollar increments). The cost is typically about $1,000 per Million dollars of coverage. Depending on your state, it can be customary for a landlord or property manager to require an Excess Liability policy.
