What is Excess Liability insurance?

Excess Liability insurance is designed to provide you with higher limits of General and Professional Liability coverage.  The primary policy already provides $1M per occurrence and $3M aggregate limits.  Excess Liability insurance can increase these underlying limits by $1-5 Million (in million dollar increments). Depending on your state, it can be customary for a landlord or property manager to require an Excess Liability policy.
